 
In Swaziland it is estimated that more than ½ of
the total
population are orphaned and vulnerable children. Young girls are getting pregnant as they seek
help from men
to get food for their younger siblings.
This is resulting in early teenage pregnancy and many
abandoned
babies. Heart for Africa is
called
to help those young girls and the
babies who are found in pit latrines or on
the side of the road to die.
The
El Roi Baby Home is fully funded and being built. Now it is time for us to prepare the
home for the arrival of
the babies.
There
are items that we need to buy in
Swaziland rather than ship, i.e. cribs,
kitchen appliances, electrical equipment due to different power
requirements in Africa (see
list
here). We will need
to collect funds for these items and
can’t start the home without them.
