Swaziland is a small country located in southern Africa that is home to approximately 950,000 people. The needs in Swaziland are staggering, as HIV/AIDS claims the lives of an estimated 42.6% of the population. It is the elderly and the children who are left with an entire generation of mothers and fathers yielding to the deadly effects of this disease. The life expectancy in Swaziland is the lowest in all of Africa at 29 years.

Currently it is estimated that there are 200,000 orphans and 15,000 orphan-headed households in Swaziland.

In Swaziland, Heart for Africa is working with three children's homes, El Shaddai, New Hope Center, and Emmanuel Khayelethu.
