Trip Preparation Videos

This series of videos will help you prepare for your trip to Africa.  Before starting with the first video, be sure to have a notepad and pen so that you may take notes.  Each video will cover a specific area of interest in the period of planning for your trip and traveling to Africa.  If you have further questions, please send an email to trips@heartforafrica.org.

1. Registration and Planning

Registering for your trip is the first step in getting to Africa. In this video, Donna Taylor will walk you through the ins and outs of registering and some of the first steps to take after you register.

2. Fundraising

Now that you have registered and started the process of getting a passport and immunizations, it's time to start fundraising. Fundraising can be intimidating to some and fun to others. This video will give you tips to make sure it is fun.

3. Trip Pack

The day is almost here. About 20 days from your trip, you will receive a package in the mail from Heart for Africa. This is your trip pack. What's in it? Watch this video to learn more.

4. Arriving in Africa

It's been 20+ hours on an airplane, but now you are in Africa. What next? Where is my luggage? Where do I go? This video will answer those questions for you.
