Tumaini Children's Home is our first partner home in Kenya. We began working at Tumaini in July 2007. The home was started in June 2002 at the premises of Bishop David Thagana and Rev Joyce Munyiri. The home started with nine children and has since grown to almost 100. In January 2008, Tumaini Academy opened providing a quality education for the children of Tumaini and many other children from the surrounding community. The home cares for orphaned children from Naivasha, Kiambu, Nyeri, and Jabini.
Tumaini’s vision is to care for and develop God-centered children who will take responsibility in the global village. The home will accomplish this through its care program that includes parenting, education, and spiritual nourishment along with providing a hopeful future in society and God’s kingdom. |
