Stephen Lungu currently serves as president of African Enterprise, an evangelical and service-oriented Christian organization working in 27 countries in Africa. Stephen’s background is simply amazing and he’s a walking testimony to God’s grace and the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives. His mother abandoned him as a young boy and he became a member of a street gang that engaged in petty crimes and worse to survive.

The book about his life, "Out of the Black Shadows," tells the story of how Stephen and his gang went to burn down a tent when a Christian evangelist was preaching. His gang members burned down the tent, while Stephen was up front, giving his life to Jesus.

That night started a remarkable ride with Jesus for Stephen. At the time, he’d never been to school and did not know how to read. Now he speaks seven languages.
