Chicken Farm at Project Canaan There are over 50 billion chickens reared each year as a source of food. Whether for their meat or their eggs, chickens are a staple in the diet of people from around the world. Now Project Canaan is ready for a chicken farm.
A chicken farm is a large step towards self-sustainability at Project Canaan. With sufficient land for chicken coops, Project Canaan is an ideal location for a large-scale poultry operation. But we have to start somewhere. So today we are starting with a small chicken farm. We will start with two coops. One for 500 broiler chickens and the other for 500 laying chickens. The cost of the two coops is $14,000 and the 1,000 chickens is $1,400. So for $15,400, Project Canaan will have a great start in the poultry business. Thank you for considering a donation to Heart for Africa to help us move forward in the development of Project Canaan Poultry. |
