Emmanuel Khayelethu New Home
Matching Funds Campaign

general donation

A child at EmmanuelEmmanuel Khayelethu is a refuge for many children who have all come to the home from extreme situations. Some dropped off by Social Services, some found on the side of the road, all suffering from abuse, beatings and fallout of the AIDS pandemic. One young girl was abducted from Mozambique and taken to Swaziland to work in the sex trade. After many months she escaped from her abductors and somehow made it to Emmanuel. She was too young and had been gone too long to know where she was from in Mozambique so they were unable to return her to her home. Emmanuel has been her home for several years.

Children from EmmanuelHixonia Nxumalo, a faithful and caring woman who has struggled for years to provide for these 30+ children with minimal support from friends and family, founded Emmanuel. The children have lived in a rented home until December 2007 when it succumbed to a bad fire. They have moved to another rented home where the children sleep on the floor, eat on the floor, and pray for better days. It is time for us to help.

We thank God that funds have been provided to buy 50 acres of land so that we can build these children a real home where they will be loved and cared for as children of the mighty God. But we need help to fund the building of this home.

We need to raise a total of $120,000 to put a well on the new property and build a home for these children.

A very generous woman has offered to match all donations up to $40,000 made between now and April 30th to build this new home so we only need an additional $80,000. Can you help? It will house 50 desperate children. Can you imagine? Here is a basic breakdown of the needs.
