Stay connected

Now that you are back from Eswatini, we hope you will stay connected with Heart for Africa and begin to play an influential role in the future of this organization.  During your trip, we shared several ways that you can continue to support Heart for Africa and our work in Eswatini.  Below you will find more information about each of these programs.

Celebrate Hope

Through a “Celebrate HOPE” event, you can raise not only money to support Heart for Africa’s work, but you can create great awareness in your community.  In 2010, a team of volunteers in Cape Girardeau, Missouri hosted a “Celebrate HOPE” event in their community.  They had over 500 people in attendance and raised over $100,000 at the event.  That event continues to this day, raising funds, awareness, and friends who play tremendous roles in our organization.

What does a “Celebrate HOPE” event look like?

It is a semi-formal event that includes either dinner or appetizers. Tickets are sold for $25 to $50 per person. Raffle tickets are sold prior to the event and a silent auction is available at the event. The evening includes live music and special guest speakers. The event can take on a unique personality based on your location and vision.  Let’s talk about it and bring one to your community! For more information about coordinating and hosting your own “Celebrate HOPE” event in your community, please contact us at info@heartforafrica.org.

Summit 4 Hope

Last year, volunteers from around the globe got together to summit eight mountains in a large scale effort to raise funding for water on Project Canaan.  Teams in the United States, Taiwan, Canada, Kenya, and eSwatini all climbed mountains on the same day, hosting wonderful hikes with family and friends in some of the most beautiful places on earth.  If you would like to learn more about hosting one in your area, please complete the form below.

walk 4 water

Every day in Africa, men, women, and children walk miles for water.  Once they have reached the site of water, they are then challenged to carry the water in buckets back to their homestead.  Many may walk three or more miles each day to get water, a task that we take for granted by simply turning on a tap in our home.

By hosting a “Walk 4 Water” event in your community, you can raise money for Heart for Africa and raise awareness for the need for fresh drinking water throughout Africa.  Your “Walk 4 Water” event may be a simple 5K, or a walk that includes carrying water during the walk.  Whatever you choose, we have two volunteers that are ready to help you get started on setting up the event in your area.  For more information on hosting a “Walk 4 Water” event, please complete the form below.

Golf Marathon

A golf marathon is a great way to raise funds for Heart for Africa and to have fun playing golf while you are at it.  Whether you are participating in the annual Heart for Africa Golf Tournament hosted in Georgia or hosting your own event in your community, we know that you will have great success in fundraising and raising awareness.  For more information about hosting a golf marathon in your community, complete the form below.

Unique events

We have numerous travelers who host a variety of events in their communities.  If one of the above events is not a fit for your community, then maybe there is something else that would be.  We welcome creativity and outside-of-the-box thinking!  If you have an idea that is conducive to your area, we want to hear about it.  Please complete the form below, and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Conferences

In an effort to get our name out, Heart for Africa attends local and national conferences.  Is there a conference in your area that you think we should know about?  We would love to hear about it!  Would you like to volunteer your time to help us set up a Heart for Africa booth display or even volunteer your time to be at the booth sharing the ministry of Heart for Africa with conference attendees?  We would love to hear from you!  You can email us at info@heartforafrica.org and let us know what conferences are in your area!
