Tumaini Children’s Home was started in June 2002. It was put up
at the premises of Bishop David Thagana and Rev Joyce Munyiri. The home
started with nine children and has since grown to seventy-five children.
In 2007, new dorms were built for boys and girls providing housing for
100 children. In January 2008, Tumaini Academy opened providing a quality
education for the children of Tumaini and many other children from the
surrounding community. The home cares for orphaned children from Naivasha,
Kiambu, Nyeri, and Jabini.

Tumaini’s vision is to care for
and develop God-centered children who will take responsibility
in the global village. The home will accomplish this through
its care program that includes parenting, education, and
spiritual nourishment along with providing a hopeful future
in society and God’s kingdom. |
