No Super Powers, No Capes, Just Big Hearts

"Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me. " Matthew 25:40

A hero, by definition, is someone who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, and noble qualities. Heroes do not seek to be applauded, but we cannot resist. Heart for Africa Heroes financially support the organization on a monthly basis so that we can ensure projects can be completed, food will fill the children’s plates, and safe beds are waiting for them at the end of the day.

Become a Hero

Want to know how a monthly Hero gift can be used by Heart for Africa on Project Canaan?

What some of our current Heroes have to say...

"I have been privileged to be involved with Heart for Africa since its founding.  That includes nine service trips to Africa.  Supporting the ministry monthly is a tradition we established many years ago and it's even more important now with more than 260 children living at Project Canaan.  My wife loves seeing Janine Maxwell's updates and remembering kids she worked with when we were there in 2019.  It's our joy to contribute monthly and know that our gift is being used to help grow the next generation of leaders."  Tim Hunt

"What's a hero? A person who is admired for his or her actions.  Audie Murphy is the most decorated solder in World War II.  He never referred to himself as a hero.  Murphy gave credit for what he accomplished to those unsung heroes around him.  Ann and I have been involved with the Hero program for the same reason.  There is a crisis, and many have entered the battlefield.  That battlefield on the ground is feeding children, providing a safe environment, giving hope for better future.  We serve because there is a never-ending struggle, and we feel it is our commitment to fight the good fight - without medals, without praise; but being part of a greater good, as Jesus would want us to do in His name."  Rick & Ann Walkinshaw

"It was easy.  It's simply the right thing to do!! They are doing God's work and glad I can be a very small part of supporting it!!"                         Tom Finucane
